Cherish’s business, Cherish Watton Enterprises, provided project management, evaluation, and PR services for environmental initiatives. Worked with county council, high school and university students, school students, charities, and small business owners.
Project Management: Co-ordinated residential programmes which developed young peoples’ skills skills and approaches revolving around environmental education, business set-up, teambuilding, and leadership. Timetabled the programme, recruited students and staff, liaised with teams to develop menu options and Risk Assessments. Also collected and inputted student data for the programme. Delivered sessions on the use of ICT and digital technology and ordinated follow-up to programme with some school visits.
Evaluation: Evaluated environmental and energy programmes through a variety of methods, driven by young peoples’ views and feedback. Designed creative evaluation methods, taught these to young people, and synthesised results into final reports.
Web design: Created and developed websites primarily based on WordPress and expanded clients’ digital media presence. Took ideas for website design and turned into reality. Offered training on using WordPress to small groups.
Teaching: Supported teacher training on “Raising Achievement Through the Outdoors, Maths and Literacy in the Outdoors” and Governing Body training (Carbon Reduction in Schools) with the Environmental and Outdoor Learning Team at Norfolk County Council.
